Today I want to reflect on my privileges.

  • What a Privilege to be tired from the work you always wanted to do
  • What a Privilege to feel overwhelmed by growth you used to dream about
  • What a Privilege to be challenged by life you created on purpose
  • What a Privilege to outgrow things you used to settle for

The above snippet is from a LinkedIn post that caught my attention, and it looks like the real Instagram source is unknown. But this is a very powerful message. While I am preparing to write posts on how I coped from work burnout and boreout, I want to start with this topic.

Privileged to be working

As long as one is happy with work, and life, it cannot get tiring. It is indeed a privilege to be able to work, to have a job in this tech-layoff heavy job market.

Privileged about career growth

I have had a successful career so far and I feel privileged to have had this career growth. I am living my dream and I work harder and smarter everyday to fulfil every aspect of my dream. The following quote from late Abdul Kalam, India’s former President, is my favorite quote.

Dream is not what you get when you sleep. Dream is what makes you have many sleepless nights!

Privileged about life

I am living my life that I have created on purpose. I don’t feel settled yet because I have more to achieve but everyday I feel gratitude that reminds me stay humbled and grounded.

Success is what happens when preparation meets opportunity

Privileged to not settle for less

The little joys in life that arise when you outgrow the things you once settled for are invaluable. The power of agency and autonomy, combined with the ability to influence those around you, fosters confidence. Over time, this growth enhances your experience and shapes your perspective.

I feel privileged and I am happy. What do you feel privileged about?
