As we approach the end of the year, I’ve decided to take a holiday break and pause on writing for the rest of 2025. Before I sign off, I wanted to take a moment to look back on what has been a genuinely productive year and share a glimpse of what I’m tinkering with for the future.
The Year in Review
Looking back, this year was defined by momentum.
- The Writing Comeback: I finally made my return to writing, and I didn’t just dip my toe in but I managed to sustain an amazing 100+ day writing streak.
- Career Moves: I am now four months into my new job. Looking at the timeline and how things have unfolded, I truly couldn’t have made a better decision.
- Community: Just last week, I gave a talk at the LeadDev Berlin meetup. It wasn’t originally part of the plan; it happened organically as a result of everything else going right. It was a highlight to cap off the professional year.
Cultivating New Habits
Now, my focus is shifting toward building new systems for myself – both technical and personal.
1. The System Design Project I am currently exploring how to create a fun System Design learning course. This is a passion project purely for my own enjoyment, but I’m excited to see where the exploration takes me.
2. The Lifestyle Shift On the other hand, I am finally pushing myself to enter a healthy lifestyle mode.
I hope this doesn’t turn into another New Year’s resolution that is quietly forgotten, but I genuinely hope I can stick to it. I’m not great with big announcements that I later have to abandon, but at the very least, I am trying.
Building with AI
To bridge the gap between my tech interests and my health goals, I spent today exploring everything Google Workspace has to offer combined with Gemini.
I used the day to build a quick prototype of a streak app to log my exercise routine and diet. It was a fascinating way to see how AI can accelerate personal tooling. Here’s to building more fun prototypes with AI and seeing which ideas click.
I’m taking this time to rest, reset, and build.
Here’s the working prototype – https://princiya.github.io/health/

See you in 2026!
